Tokai University Ancient Egypt and Near Eastern Collection
About Us
In 2010, a bulk of Egyptian antiquity was donated by a family of Late Professor Hachishi Suzuki. The donation was composed of approximately 6,000 academic books, 6,000 archaeological artifacts, and 15,000 photographic records. Among these, the archaeological collection is now kept under School of Letters (i.e. Humanities) under the name of AENET (Ancient Egypt and Near Eastern Collection at Tokai University), and many activities such as restoration, conservation, and scientific investigation are being undertaken by students and professors.
